LEADER PROFILE – Jacqueline Colless

Meet Jacqui, Cub Scout Leader at the 1st Ingleburn Scout Group.

Jacqui was a Brownie and a Girl Guide with 1st Ingleburn Girl Guides. She joined Scouting as an Assistant Cub Scout Leader in 1976 with 1st Moorebank Scout Group and remained with the Pack until 1979 when she left to get married.

In 1990 Jacqui rejoined Scouting as an Assistant Cub Scout Leader with 1st Ingleburn Scout Group. Jacqui was awarded her Wood Badge, Cub Scout Section, in 1992 and appointed as a Personal Leader Adviser in 2006.

Over the years Jacqui has attended five Jamborees, including AJ 2007 (where due to illness of the Troop Leader she took on this position), four Canberra Cuborees and one NSW Cuboree. Jacqui took on the position of Pack Coordinator at Cuboree 2007.
Jacqui runs a fun, active Pack with many camps and other outdoor activities.

She was awarded the Certificate of Merit in 1999 and the Silver Arrowhead in 2004.
Jacqui is very supportive of both District and Region activities. She can always be depended upon to step in when assistance is needed with new Leaders or anyone else who needs help. Jacqui is cooperative, approachable and enthusiastic with everything she takes on. Our adult Members say that she is a pleasure to work with and a great asset to her Group, District and Hume Region.
